Yesterday was not my most productive writing day.
I spent the greater part of yesterday eagerly awaiting news from a friend who was in labor. I just couldn’t concentrate to get much done. But it was definitely news worth waiting around for.
So, congratulations to Joaquín and his proud new parents! 
Today will be lost also as far as writing for my novel goes, because I am working straight through into tomorrow. But I will be kicking some butt late on Monday!
I seriously love my new job, and learned today that my role will likely be increasing in scope soon, so that is tremendously exciting. Today I feel like everything is taking off.
